The Selma Mansion Rebirth Mural
Inspired by a broken piece of ceramic unearthed from the grounds of the abandoned Selma Mansion in Leesburg, Virginia.
The flowering vine design on the plate was a depiction of the same thorny vine found on the historic Virginia property.
The final concept is an abstract of that vine with added historical botanicals. MorgaStudio provided a scaled “mock-up” of the entire mural prior to beginning the actual painting. This design was hand painted on site, with scaffolding to accommodate the 14ft ceiling height!
